More than forty times Polish swimming champion and two-time World Champion in the category of modern pentathlon team (1977 and 1978).
As a player he participated in the Olympic Games: in Mexico (1968), Munich (1972), Montreal (1976) and Moscow (1980).
At the Olympic Games in Seoul (1988) and Barcelona (1992) he went as a coach of the 5-part dash. The Head of Mission, deputy head of mission or deputy chairman of the Polish delegation: in Atlanta (1996), Nagano (1998), Sydney (2000), Salt Lake City (2002), Athens (2004), Turin (2006) and Beijing (2008).
In the years 1988-1994 year. Coach the Olympic team in modern pentathlon. Then, ie. vice president of the UKFiS and vice president of the Polish Confederation of Sports. Since 2005 a member of Parliament V, VI and VII term.
For many years he conducted extensive social activities. He is a member of the Polish Olympic Committee, the Commission for Combating Doping in Sport, the Board of the AD, the Senate Higher School of Coaches Sports, Sports Museum of the Program Council, Commission Vice-President Sport and Tourism BCC. He presided over by the Polish Union of Modern Pentathlon.
In 1988. Was the main judge of the Women's World Championships Pentathlon in Warsaw. In 2005. He was chaired by the Organizing Committee of Senior World Championships in Modern Pentathlon in Warsaw. He is honorary president of the Sports Club Roberts Estate Auction in Ostrowiec.
