Leszek Blanik – A celebrity of the polish sports gymnastics, currently a member of the Polish parliament. |
He is the winner of two olimpic medals in the leap competition – bronze and gold.
In the year 2000 during the Olimpic Games in Sydney he won the bronze medal. On the 18th of August during the Olimpic Games in Bejing he won the gold medal – a dream prize of every sportsman.
He is the first polish sportsman who had a gymnastics element named after him. It was registered under the number 332 by the International Federation of Gimnastics and is a type of a forward-flip, given the name “Blanik” after the sportsman.
