Douglas Michele Turco is vice dean of the College of Global Studies Arcadia University. He earned his doctorate at the University of New Mexico, a master's degree and a BA from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
He is the founder and director of the International Institute of Sport at Arcadia University. Before a sports business professor at Drexel University and Illinois State University, for which he received several awards and honors.
He is the author of over 40 articles in journals: "Sport Marketing Quarterly," "International Journal of Sport Management", "Journal of Travel Research" and "Journal of Sport and Tourism". He wrote the book: "Sport tourism", "Sport and event marketing", "Assessing the economic impact of parks and recreation special events".
